These include guided snorkeling tours by our marine biologist, both from the beach and pontoon, glass-bottom boat tours, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, seasonal bird and turtle watching, and a selection of Fijian cultural experiences, including a traditional Kava ceremony.

Additionally, both our day cruise and dinner cruise feature a buffet meal prepared with fresh local ingredients. You can also opt for additional activities at an extra cost on our day cruise, such as beach massages by the Senakai Day Spa on the island and scuba diving guided by professional PADI instructors for all experience levels.

Where Can You Find Tivua Island?

Tivua Island is situated just 90 minutes away from Port Denarau Marina and is a pristine gem in the Pacific, exclusively owned by Captain Cook Cruises. It’s a part of the Mamanuca island group, an archipelago comprising 20 volcanic islands spanning around 135 square kilometers in the western region of Fiji. The island boasts a beautiful white sandy beach and is encircled by 500 acres of captivating coral gardens, making it a haven for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Tivua Island offers various other activities like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, glass-bottom boat tours, scenic walks, and opportunities for bird and turtle sightings.

What’s Included in the Optional Extras?

Optional extras available at an additional cost on our Tivua Island Day Cruise include scuba diving, which is suitable for all experience levels, led by professional PADI instructors. You can explore stunning coral reefs and even investigate a shipwreck if you’re an advanced diver.

For relaxation, the Senakai Day Spa on the island offers massage services. We also have two waterfront bures with en-suite facilities available for day rental during your visit. Other options include our Tivua Island Proposal Package, complete with a private bure lunch, our Wedding Package comprising ceremony, meals, activities, and photography, and our Day and Dinner Cruise Combo, offering both day and dinner cruises at a 25% discount on one.

How Many Passengers Are Onboard Day Cruises, and Are They Suitable for Children?

Our Tivua Island day cruises can accommodate a maximum of 100 passengers per vessel, and the island can host up to 200 guests. All age groups are welcome on both our day cruise and dinner cruise, with children requiring adult supervision at all times. Children should be capable of swimming unassisted.

Children under 5 years of age are also welcome on our day cruises, but parents must provide their flotation devices. We offer a Captain’s Kids Club on the Tivua Island Day Cruise designed for children between 5 and 12 years old.

Key Differences Between a Day Cruise and a Dinner Cruise

Our Tivua Island Day Cruise and Fiji Sunset Dinner Cruise are distinct experiences. The day cruise emphasizes water-based activities and family-oriented fun under the sun. In contrast, the dinner cruise provides a relaxing atmosphere to savor a fresh, tropical buffet dinner and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine against the backdrop of a breathtaking Fijian sunset.

While both cruises feature traditional Fijian hospitality and delectable meals with fresh local ingredients, the Tivua Island Day Cruise is more family-friendly, offering a Captain’s Kids Club and numerous activities to keep children engaged. To make the most of your Fijian adventure, you might consider enjoying both cruises.
